Baaaaaaah

Another fucking cold sore. Grrrrrr.

Got a job. Well, I work one day a week cleaning an optometrist's office in Belden Village. Additionally, I'm cleaning this guy's apartments and stuff when people move out. Tomorrow and Friday I'm stripping wallpaper and painting a really cute 4 room apartment in Canton. I'm only working in 2.5 rooms, though. The living room, dining room and the upper portion of the bathroom. $100 for a total of 2 days work isn't that bad, especially since it'll take me maybe 8 hours total (rooms are small.) Woohoo! I figured I'll strip the wallpaper and prepare the area for painting tomorrow, then paint on Friday. The guy, Chris, said he has a couple other offices I can clean, so that works out well.

The Firebird has heat. Morgan installed a new (used) $5 blower motor Saturday night, and the Birdy has been toasty ever since. You know, especially since it was 65 yesterday and over 70 today. LOL But I am totally not complaining.

This makes me think the end of the world is near. I know, it's my LAUNCHcast Station, but I've never heard TON until now. Spooky.

Hmm, we went to Dayton on Saturday (Morgan had Saturday and Sunday off.) After picking up the suspension/brakes for the Camaro, and the $5 blower motor for my car, we visited the Air Force Musuem. It was pretty nifty, but the best part was the name of the street. Click here for a photo. I know it is an important USAF person's last name, but come on!!

Photo of some Camaro art in my basement.

*Product Whoring Zone*
I'm obviously a fan of the Dove Haircare line. But, the Straight and Sleek leave-in styling stuff is the most rockass product I've ever used. No sticky, no crunchy, no limpness. Nothing but smooth, non-flyaway hair. Ahhh.

Burt's Bees Dr. Burt's Blemish Stick is the best thing ever. Apply this stuff to the blemish when you go to bed, and it'll be gone or almost gone the next morning. Love this stuff!

C.O. Bigelow's Deluxe Facial moisturizer is the mack daddy of moisturizers. This bad boy ($20 regular price!) was a freebie from Bath and Body Works. I guess all those times my Mom and I went in there and spent $60 are finally paying off.

Jaqua's Buttercream Frosting Sinfully Rich Body Butter makes me want to gnaw off my arm. Oh, and my arms are soft too.
*End Product Whoring*

Conversely, please never buy Burt's Bees Feeling Flaky Shampoo, or Bath and Body Works Circle of Friends No Tearski Shampoo. Both are fucking evil. The Burt's Bees smells like a medicine man's domain, and it totally doesn't lather or clean. The No Tearski Shampoo doesn't lather, clean and left my hair sooooooo dry. Thumbs down on both. Thankfully the Burt's Bees was only a sample size that came with my Burt's Bees gift set thingie, and the No Tearski is exchangeable, so I'm not out much money at all.

I must go to bed early tonight since I have to be up at 8:30AM for WORK. Woohoo!

That is all.

Spidey-Man, Spidey-Man

Morgan's making me watch Spiderman the Movie with Kirsten Dunst. The only good part is Willem DaFoe.

OK, more photos.

Morgan's new cat, Mr. Smushface. He doesn't have a name, so that's what we call him. Mr. Smushface was given to Morgan's Mom by some guy she works with; the cat is 2 years old and was the guy's daughter's cat. They're moving to a different apartment building, and can't keep the kitty. No one knows what his name is, so short of "Kitty," Morgan and I are calling him Mr. Smushface. Not that his Mom can afford another cat, mind you, she can't even afford to feed Abie, but Mr. Smushface is a Himilayan and that's what she wanted. You know, because they're expensive and no one will ever know she got him for free. Anyway, Mr. Smushface is very cute as evidenced by these photos:

Birdie and Camaro photos:

Photo 3

I guess we're going to Dayton on Saturday to pick up the two fenders for the Birdie, and the suspension/brakes for the Camaro. Good thing, cause the Camaro severely needs rotors and brakes.

The Birdie now has a brand new starter and is running great. Now if only he had heat, I'd be in business. The blower motor is bad, and while the part itself is really cheap ($25,) labor is going to be asshole expensive. Guess it'll have to wait until I get a job, and I'll freeze until then.

I believe that's about it.

That is all.

OK, Fine

All right, here's two photos of the front of the Birdie. This is why he was $300.
Driver Side
Passenger Side
Keep in mind, though, that we've all ready found the parts and it's $130 total. And both eyes go up and down under their own power.

The starter fairy must have came last night. I went out this afternoon and the car started right up. I drove him around my town, came home and turned him off. He started up 3 more times. The Birdie is fixing himself. LOL Yes, I am still going to replace the starter.

Must take a nap; tomorrow I start looking for a job. Woohoo!

That is all.

Isn't he cute? Only $300 and he runs great. The starter is bad, though, so I can either buy one from a junkyard for $35 or a new one from Auto Zone for $65. I think I'll get the cheaper one until I get a job and can afford a new starter.

It took me about 2 hours to clean out all the trash, clean all the glass and vacuum the front carpets and seats. I also went over the dash and doors with the Armor All type stuff Morgan brought me. The Birdie is cleaning up quite well.

I'm now waiting on my Domino's thin crust with cheese, pepperoni and extra sauce. Bastards best hurry up.

Morgan and I went to Goodwill in Massillon on Tuesday. He found a Gateway monitor for $5; it works fine. I found an HP printer for $5; doesn't print. That's my luck, though.

Here's a list of stuff the Birdie needs:
Starter
Front Fenders
Front Bumper
Door Locks
Door Handles
Heater Blower Motor
Timing Seems To Be Off (Runs really rich)

The only things that are important right now are the starter and timing. Other than the heater blower motor, the rest of the stuff is cosmetic. I'm hoping the heater problem is just a fuse, but it probably is the blower motor. The heat is hot, I just can't turn it any higher than the first setting. Dammit.

All the options the Birdie has:
T-Tops
Air Conditioning
Fog Lights
Tape Player w/Equalizer
Power Windows
Power Locks
Power Mirrors
Rear Defrost
Interior Hatch Release
He's pretty pimp.

That is all.

Baby Needs Some Work

So yeah, baby needs some cleaning:

I love cleaning cigarette butts out of cars, especially since I DON'T SMOKE. Ick.

Yeah, I'll be busy tomorrow, in the rain.

That is all.

Woot!!

Yes, I said "woot."

I have a headache, I'm fucking tired and my back aches. But it's all worth it. Why, you ask? Because Morgan bought me the Firebird today.

That is all.

Makes You Wonder

All right, here's some real photos of the Camaro with his new rims. By real photos, I mean photos taken with my digi cam and not my camera phone. Two were taken at night, and one was taken during the day. Notice, he has his larger spoiler too.

Morgan and I wound up in Pennsylvania yesterday. We stopped at my sister's house, but of course no one answered the door even though the lights were on, and we saw someone moving around inside. Whatever, it's not like I actually thought she'd come to the door anyway.

No Birdie yet, but I am 100% getting the car. It's just a matter of getting everyone's schedules figured out and stuff. Woo!!!

Speaking of schedules, tell me if this doesn't suck ass. GM has some insane sale this weekend, and of course Morgan gets to work a ton of hours. Here's his schedule for the next two weeks (not that anyone cares, it's for my benefit:)
Today 4PM-midnight
Friday 2PM-midnight
Saturday 4-midnight
Sunday 10AM-5PM
Monday 4PM-9PM
Tuesday 4PM-9PM(off)
Wednesday OFF
Thursday 3PM-9PM
Friday 9AM-6PM
Saturday OFF
So yeah, he'll finally have a Saturday off, but he won't have two days off in a row. What sucks even more is he's working all these stupid hours this weekend, but he's still not going to make any overtime. I guess his boss is going to make sure he does have at least one weekend day off every week when he gets his new schedule, and he'll also make sure Morgan has two days off in a row. But, this week/weekend, I'm going to be sitting around until Tuesday night, bored out of my skull. Fun, yes?

I test drove a 94 Camaro today and I left a large black mark on the street. Morgan was then jealous, so he had to leave an even bigger black mark on the same street. We both rule.

That is all.

Haven't actually bought it yet, but it will be mine soon. Oh yes, yes it will be. Hopefully.

That is all.

Yeah

Anyone notice I took down the "My New Car" link? Yeah, that's because I'm not getting the Mazda. For whatever reason, the guy selling the Mazda never returned Morgan's Dad's phone calls. Isn't that nice? His Dad says he'll still buy the Mazda, if the guy ever calls him back.

Scott found me a 93 Tracker with 110K miles for $350. The gas tank leaks, and it needs an exhaust, but it runs great. Of course Morgan claims the gas tank job is really expensive; I think he just doesn't want me to get a Tracker. I get my tax refund Monday, so I'll have $200 towards a car. Some guy Morgan works with at the Chevy dealer has a 92 Firebird he'll sell us for $300, but Morgan has yet to actually see the car. I told him to buy the car tonight, and I'll find someone to notarize the title once he gets down here with the title. This Firebird supposedly runs great, has new brakes and tires and just turned 133K miles. It's red with t-tops, and both headlights supposedly still work. The heat only works once in a while, and both front fenders and the front bumper are jacked up, but it still is legal to be on the road. The interior is supposedly pretty randy as well, but I don't care as long as it runs good. The t-tops and lowish miles are a fucking bonus.

I'm tired of not having a job, and not being able to go anywhere without either having someone pick me up, or begging my Mom to use her car (post office, Burger King.) I hate asking people to give me rides, and besides, the only person who does is Turtle. Jenny sure as shit won't come out here and get me, oh no. Screw the fact that I'd drive out there and get her when I had the GTI.

That is all.

Voiceless

For some reason I've managed to partially lose my voice. I'm all croaky and weird sounding, yet I feel fine (other than being tired.) Interesting.

Morgan's work schedule may be changing, for the better. Right now he works Thursday through Monday, and has Tuesday and Wednesday off every week. He may be switching to Sunday and Monday off every week. That would be nice because he could come down on Saturday night and stay until Tuesday morning, and he'd have Sundays off. There are lots of car shows on Sundays, and a few on Mondays as well. Additionally we could go to Saturday evening stuff since he wouldn't have to work on Sunday. Would sure be nice, dammit.

I have photos from our Huntington trip but I'm too tired to post them at the moment. I saw the Mothman statue in Point Pleasant, and the site of the Silver Bridge collapse. It was a long trip, but a nice trip regardless of the length. It took us almost 12 hours exactly, but that includes all of our stops and the time it took to get the rims. Actual driving time was probably 8 hours, not including potty stops and gas stops. We only used about $30 for gas which I don't think is bad at all for a 460 mile trip. We actually spent $40 on gas, but both times we filled up we had around a half a tank left. I told him we want to get gas way before we need it, because in WV you never know where the next open gas station will be, especially after 9PM. Try to tell me the Camaro gets bad gas mileage, and I'll laugh at you. It has more balls than your Civic, too.

This week (Tuesday) we're going to Dayton to pick up the suspension and brakes for the car, and Morgan is picking up a posi rear end (free,) a black Iroc hood (free) and the 3 piece spoiler ($20) tomorrow. The rear end, hood and spoiler are in Cleveland, so his Dad is going with him to pick up the parts since a truck is needed for the rear end. Kanan is going to smack someone when Morgan asks him to switch hoods a week after they swapped the original hood for the blue Iroc hood.

OK, for my new "gaming" desktop PC...I figure I'll need to buy a P4 motherboard and a P4 chip. Everything else should be covered with Morgan's and Kanan's stashes of computer parts. Morgan has an extra P4 motherboard, but I remember him saying it was messed up or something, so I may need to buy a new one. He has the only P4 chip in his main desktop system, so I know I'll definitely need a P4 chip. I'm quite confident they have heat sinks, ram, video/audio cards, CD burners/roms and floppy drives covered. I think that's all I'll need for the system. It doesn't have to be all fancy; just enough to play NFS and GTA. I'll also need to be able to get on DSL with the computer, but I think a P4 motherboard would have an ethernet thingie built-in on the board. The nice thing is, the whole system will probably cost less than $300, with $100 of that being for the case. I'd like to get a flat screen monitor, but I'm sure I'll be told I don't need one, so there goes that idea. So yeah, that'll rock to have a desktop PC I can use in my room, instead of toting the laptop upstairs all the time.

OK, shit to do. I'll continue later.

That is all.

Thursday, March 10, 2005

Rock!

I would sell my left ear for this case:

(Click for case info)

Good thing it's only $100. I'll beg Morgan to buy it for me, then build me a desktop system so I can play GTA and NFS. The desktop I have now was built, by Morgan, for my Mom so it's hella slow and bare minimum for AOL usage. I need speed and coolness to go with that case.

That is all.

Dammit

Where's my damned federal tax refund? I mailed that bitch the last week of January, and I'm still waiting on my refund. I tried eFiling twice but they were rejected both times because one of my employer's ID numbers was incorrect on the form. Bastards.

So yeah, Morgan and I are going to WV (Huntington) tomorrow morning and of course I have nothing taken care of yet. I need to go to the post office, pay my cell phone bill, the grocery store for road snacks and get together my "travel bag." I tend to overpack slightly any time I go on a trip. This is a "day trip" and involves us driving to WV and back home in one day (hence the name "day trip.") It's 230 miles each way, only 30 miles more than when I was driving to/from Glenville for school. What will Lisa bring with her? Oh lets see...
A change of clothes because I never know what's going to happen, toothbrush and toothpaste, two pairs of shoes (one boot and one athletic shoe,) hairbrush, sweatpants (I live in sweatpants when I travel,) a case of Snapple, something to read, the laptop and blank CD's, my digital camera and roughly 6 cases of CD's. OK, this may not seem like a big deal, but please remember one thing. We're driving down there in a Camaro. And we are picking up four 16" rims with tires that we have to get home in the Camaro, with all of my shit all ready in the car. I may be a rebel and go with just the laptop and CD's, 6 bottles of Snapple, something to read and the CD cases. That's living dangerously for me. Yeah, I overpack, but who always has whatever it may be that other people need when traveling? ME. I can just see Morgan's face when he gets in the car tomorrow morning, and is surrounded by my shit. He will not be a happy travel companion. We traveled a lot last summer, but it was mostly spontaneous things where we were out going to the mall or something, then we would wind up in Pittsburgh. He's only experienced a planned trip one time, and that's when we went to Chicago right after we got the Camaro. And that trip wasn't really planned, it was more like Morgan asking me Monday night if I wanted to go to Chicago on Tuesday night. I said yes, and there we went. So yeah, he's going to smack me tomorrow morning, it's just a matter of when.

I should probably go do stuff, or something.

That is all.

Dude, You're Gay

Guess I could update about tonight instead of bitching.

Turtle swung by around 8:30 and picked me up. We went to his friend's house so he could pick up something (I didn't ask), then we ventured to The Crew, our usual haunt. We arrived around 9:45 or so, and stayed until about 11:15 when we left so Turtle could get his pot. We then went to McDonald's and I was home before 1AM. We rock.

That is all.

So, So Tired

I am so tired of people in general. I sold this guy from Australia a TON shirt. I mailed the fucking thing via AirMail a month ago. He has yet to receive his shirt. So, of course, I never mailed it. Of course the post office didn't fuck up and cause a delay. Even though he received his first shirt in a timely manner (after that bitch was x-ray'd and I sent it via UPS at my extra cost,) even after he took forever to pay for both shirts. I'm the bad person here. He's not bullying me into refunding him. I originally emailed him and told him if they can't find the form, I'll refund him and be done with it. Oh no, I will go to the post office tomorrow and beg them to locate the customs form, even if they have to take a day or two to find it. I will then scan the customs form, and email him the scanned image to prove the shirt was sent. All of this hassle over a $20 shirt.

On a similar stupid people note...I accompanied Turtle on his pot buying adventure this evening. Everyone who knows me is well aware that I have never smoked pot, and never will smoke pot. Still I find potheads to be amusing. Well, the crackhead he's buying from is all paranoid and shit. She even asked me if I was a cop. Me, in my Mr. Rogers shirt and with my pink and black hair, a cop. I repeat, fucking crackhead. I'd hate to think I had that much illegal shit in my house, that I had to worry about random people coming over. The way some people live amazes me.

On a bit more upbeat note, Morgan and Kanan did get the Iroc hood on the car tonight. Without breaking our new windshield. LOL

Well Morgan's IM'ing me so I guess I'll go.

That is all.

Victims, Aren't We All?

Sometime this evening, this hood will be on the black RS. Yeah, that'll rock. We're driving to WV on Tuesday in a black car with a blue hood, unless Morgan and Kanan decide to fuck around and not get the hood on the car. I think that's much more likely than the hood actually making its way onto the car.

Oh yeah, the actual rims/tires we are buying in WV (dude's car rocks):

I hope Turtle wants to do something when he gets home from PA this evening. I've been in the house since Wednesday night; not fun.

Guess I'll go find something to do.

That is all.

Not So Sure

I received my new Ikea catalog today. There's a couple pairs of curtains that would be so rockass in my room, some cute rugs as well, but I don't really see any point in buying all this stuff when I still live with my mom. As you can probably tell, not living on my own is really beginning to irritate me. Not having a job is irritating me even more. But I digress...

Instead of using my tax refund on Ikea stuff, I'm using it to go to Dayton to buy suspension and brakes for the Camaro. Makes complete sense, doesn't it?

I'm going to post images of the Ikea crap I'd like to buy since no one is interested in listening to what I have to say. At least if my readers don't fucking care, I don't know about it. Because, heaven forbid, anyone listens to what I have to say.

Not that I expect to ever have any of this stuff because I'm too busy spending what little money I manage to get on other people. Because I'm a nice person (some could say doormat and they'd probably be correct) and I put other people's happiness before my own.

That is all.

Saturday, March 05, 2005

Huh

I haven't even been up for an hour, and I'm going back to bed. Sleep much?

That is all.

Hmmmm

The more I play with FireFox the more I love this damned browser. Just look at that cute theme! Plus, FireFox is soooooo much cooler than any other browser.

Not much to update about. I know I have two weekends worth of shenanigans to blog about, but I'm too tired/unmotivated to do anything. I was going to organize/get rid of the rest of my Docs in the basement, but I've been putting it off all damn day. I guess I'll get around to it tomorrow since there's nothing else to do. Jenny called me tonight and claims she's going to call me from work tomorrow, then we'll get together and do something. Yeah, I'll make sure to hold my breath for that one.

Turtle is at his "friend's" house until Monday, so doing anything with him is out too. My Morgie works all weekend, then he'll be down here Monday night after work. I miss my Morgie.

Tuesday we're going to Huntington, WV for the 16" rims and tires. We were going this past Tuesday, but the guy's replacement rims didn't arrive, plus I felt like shit and the roads were horrid. We are definitely on for this week, though, and I'm excited. Our first road trip of 2005!!

I'm hungry, so I guess I'll rustle around in the kitchen for some food, then watch TV or something. Hell, I may even wind up in bed before 4AM for once. Wouldn't that be a feat?

That is all.

Boogers Again

Who died and made you Dick Goddard?

Yeah, I've been slacking on the blog posting. So sorry, but I've been sick for a while. When I start feeling better, the whole area gets fucking whapped with a snowstorm. I must repeat, I hate Ohio.

Last night while Morgan was talking to one of his Camaro club friends, I went shopping out of the Yankee Candle catalog. OK, so I didn't technically go shopping, but I did make a wishlist. I found about 12 scents I'd like to get, along with 4 or 5 votive/tea light/tart holders. Well under $100, though, so I'm proud of myself. LOL

All right, I'm off for now.

That is all.
