DVR, How I Love Thee

DVR'ing NYPD Blue Smits episodes is such a nice thing.

Photos from when Morgan and I went out with Turtle Saturday night.
Me After 4 Smirnoff Twisteds
Morgan
Turtle
Turtle offered to take our broke asses out, if one of us would be his designated driver. Can't turn that offer down!! Smirnoff Ice Twisted Watermelon is the best, followed closely by Mandarin Orange.

I had an interview yesterday morning, but obviously that went nowhere. So driving all over the fucking country filling out applications has netted us absolutely nothing; at $2.69 a gallon for gas. Lovely.

We're having our own little hurricane.

People are stupid.

That is all.

That Time Of Year Again

Yes, it's that time of year again. Halloween time! So it isn't even September yet, but it's been colder this week, which puts me in mind of Fall. Have I ever mentioned that Fall is my favorite season? I like Spring with the flowers blooming and stuff, but I love Fall the most. The days are still warm enough, the evenings aren't hot and the leaves change and all that good stuff. Plus, Fall means Halloween season. I love Halloween, and I always have. I checked out haunted house websites last night; I will go to the Factory of Terror this Halloween season. Even though I got fired Tuesday for not going in on my day off on Monday, Morgan and I get our first school disbursement the 1st or 2nd week of October. We'll receive another disbursement in November as well. Even if we aren't working, everything will be all right, but we both plan on working as well as going to school. I had an interview yesterday, and I think I have a job. Yeah, I think I have a job. Nice, yes? I go in Monday at 9AM, but I have no idea if I'm working that day, having a second interview or what. I don't even know what the company does that I went to; they pay $8/hr and it's a relaxed setting which is all that matters to me.

School...Monday, Tuesday and Thursday every week, 6P-10P. We'll be finished in two years and will have our Associates degrees. Our major is Computer Networking and Applications, and we'll also be MCSE certified upon graduation. Everyone's jealous, I know. At least that way I'll be able to get a good job, save up and go back for Forensic Psych. So yeah, orientation is September 1, and our first day of school is September 6. I'm excited.

Digital cable with the DVR box is still pretty fucking cool.

Wireless Internet is also still fucking cool.

Gah, my Pooper.net mail is still down. I can log in, but all I get is a continuous "logging you in" screen.

I plan on visiting Travis in WV before it starts snowing. I know the Birdy will make the trip with no problem, but I'll need the time off from school and work. School's not a problem since I'm off Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week. I guess I could leave on a Friday after work and come home sometime Sunday afternoon. I must go to the Burnsville diner for cole slaw, dammit!!

I feel bad for people with snaggly teeth. Thankfully my parents blessed me with braces from ages 9 to 14.

We desperately need an entertainment center.

That is all.

Schooooooool

Morgan and I start college September 6th. I'm so freaking excited! It's only an Associates Degree, but it's better than nothing. We'll both be MCSE certified as well. We're going for computer networking and applications. We rule.

I'm off to watch the 3 hours of NYPD Blue I DVR'd today. Smits better be in some of the episodes.

That is all.

Allow Me To Elaborate

So yeah, I was on my way home from my Mom's house last night a little after midnight. I had the TruckBird loaded down with stuff, and was buzzing right along. I thought my dash lights were getting dimmer, but then I thought it could have been cause I was kinda tired. Then my airbag light popped on, and my headlights started dimming. I pulled a U-Turn and hauled ass back to my Mom's house. I almost made it there, but the car just gave up and died about three blocks from my Mom's house. So there I am, walking to her place at 12:30AM. It was fucking creepy, and where she lives is as safe as any town in America can be in the year 2005. So I get there, wake her up and we take her car to load all of my shit so no one steals any of it while it's sitting in the bank parking lot (where I coasted to after he died.) There was about a .01% chance anyone would have messed with my car, but I didn't want to take the chance. Just for shits and giggles I decided to try and start my car. He fired right up and I sped my way to her house. I had just parked when the TruckBird died again. Today my brother ran me to Advance Auto Parts so I could buy a new alternator, and Morgan installed the part. Jeff needed to come over because the damned bracket bolt was stuck, and we couldn't get it loose. The car's fine, and he just turned 140K miles. Seriously, we paid $300 for the car in March. We knew it needed a starter when we bought the car, and that was $105. Now, 5 months later, I had to pay $75 for an alternator. Total, we paid $480 for the Birdy. I'm not going to complain. But that's what I get for running my mouth about the dead Camaro. I still trust the Birdy to take me anywhere, and I'd prefer to not ride in the Camaro at all, piece of shit that it is.

I must remember to watch Supersize Me on Showtime. We have Showtime and Showtime On Demand free for 6 months, and everyone best believe that I'll be taking advantage of the On Demand stuff. Digital cable is so fucking cool. I know I'm old when I'm fascinated by printing from the couch and pausing live TV. Recording TV is just a bonus.

Eh, guess I'll go to bed.

That is all.

Goobledeegook

Lets play Guess What Part Failed and Left Lisa Stranded:
Blah
It was fixed today and the car is fine once again.

Digital cable with a DVR is the best thing ever.

My pooper.net mail is down, as is my SBC mail. Nice, huh?

More tomorrow.

That is all.

*Updated* For all of those who guessed the alternator, gold star.

Woo

By 2PM we'll have cable. I'm so excited I could shit myself. Did I mention we're also getting the DVR box? Yay!!

Some photos to keep you busy while I'm away playing with the cable box:
Someone thinks he's Hitler
Our cars
Our apt building!
Cars again
Someone had a milestone!

Yes, Morgan shaved that horrible Hitler thing right after I took a photo.

I printed from the couch a couple days ago. As in my butt was on the couch, and I printed to the dining room printer. Wireless continues to amaze me everyday.

I'm old.

The new job is going fine. My first week and I fixed two PC's. I rule.

That is all.

Workers Comp?

I cut my finger on a pair of scissors at work today. Fucking hurts like a sonofabitch, too. Does that qualify for workers' comp? Light duty? Didn't think so.

I found this photo of Barb and Lord_Kanan from the Metal Steve benefit:

Scary Men

For your weekly dose of scary as fuck:

David Coverdale looks like a chick

Pete Burns scares the fuck out of me

David Coverdale is the lead singer of Whitesnake, and Pete Burns is the singer from Dead or Alive.

That is all.

Wireless Wonder

I finally received my wireless card today, and after a billion connection attempts, it spontaneously connected and has been online ever since. Wireless is soooooo nice. Now if I could get the laptop battery to last longer than 3 hours, I'd be set.

I just tried watching Swimfan on DVD, but the disc is all jacked up. Sucks cause that looked like a hella good movie.

Guess I'll clean since Morgan would rather sleep all evening than spend time with me.

That is all.

Some People

So this guy calls today and requests a quote to have service performed on a Xerox phaser. I tell the guy I'll find out and return his call. I do just that, and the first time I called he wasn't answering his page, so I left a voicemail. I just called him back to make sure he received the quote, and his secretary, who was running interference, informed me he was "unavailable." OK, fine. She then asked what it was in regard to, and I told her. She then said, "Oh, we had that serviced earlier today." Well piss off then. The guy didn't even have the decency to take my call and inform me. My time is valuable, probably more so than his, but I don't even garner the common courtesy of speaking directly with him. People amaze me sometimes.

Morgan and I rented three DVD's last night for $1.50. Yeah, less than two bucks for three DVD's that don't have to be back until midnight Wednesday. We rule.

Twenty minutes until going home time.

That is all.

First Day

The first day at my new job went fine, even though I was woken up at 4:30AM by Morgan playing the computer way too fucking loud. Fuckface. So I had 3 hours of sleep last night. Nice, yes?

The goldfish wasn't in bed last night when I laid down. That damned goldfish was looking for porn on the Internet. Don't believe me?

Bad goldfish!!

Who Needs Two Kidneys?

My nephew is going back on the kidney transplant list this October. He's A+ and I'm A+ so I guess I'm going to get tested to possibly donate a kidney. Hell, what do I need two kidneys for anyway?

More tomorrow.

That is all.

Apartment Photos

As promised, photos of the apartment with our sparse furnishings:
Kitchen
Kitchen 2
Bedroom 1
Bedroom 2
2nd Bedroom 1
2nd Bedroom 2
2nd Bedroom 3
Dining Room
Our Couch
Living Room
Bathroom 1
Bathroom 2
Yeah, Morgan loves the Hello Kitty bathroom accessories. Just as much as I love having the couch covered with one of my comforters. Tacky as hell, but it's better than the actual couch color. Besides, the couch was a freebie so we can't complain. Everyone is soooo jealous of our circa 1984 TV.
Look closely at the master bedroom photos; that's a Morgan-lump under the covers. 4:30PM and he's still in bed.

We're venturing out later to go grocery shopping; it's too hot outside right now.

Um, they should have called about the Camaro by now. They close at 5PM, and we need to know for sure if we can pick up the car tonight. Fuckheads.

I need a nap. Or food. Or something.

That is all.

I'm Baaaaaaack

OK, so I've been gone a while. I think 12 days is some type of record for me, and I don't wish to duplicate it ever again. We're pretty much settled-in at our new apartment, and we finally have DSL. Still no cable for the TV, but that'll be soon, I hope. I'm no longer working at Summit Racing, and no, I'm not getting into it here. Suffice to say I did nothing wrong other than getting food poisoning, and getting stuck in road construction on the way to work. It worked out for the best, though, since I begin my new job Monday (won't miss a paycheck,) and this new position is 10 minutes from my house, I can wear jeans and it's at a computer/printer/fax machine repair place. Did I mention I can play on the Internet all day long? And I'll have minimal contact with customers, and 99% of the customers I do see won't be pissed off and screaming at me?! Wooooooo!

The Camaro is alive once again. Turns out the new timing chain (less than 8K miles) broke in two. How I love that car. /sarcasm

Morgan applied for a job at the junkyard and hopefully he'll get hired.

So yeah, food poisoning...Morgan and I went to the benefit for Metal Steve two weeks ago. Earlier in the evening, we went to Mr. Hero for dinner. We couldn't finish all of our food, so we stuck the remaining Romanburgers and the rest of my cheesesteak in the back of the Birdy (Camaro had a hole in the radiator at that point, so we were driving my car.) Anyway, I didn't know the food was in the car all damn night, and I ate some of it Sunday afternoon. Around 3AM Monday I woke up puking and shitting my brains out. Suffice to say, I couldn't go to work that day. I just was able to start eating normally earlier this week, but I guess I was supposed to go to work with stuff flying out both ends of my body. I did call my former boss a spineless faggot, so that has to count for something. I rule.

We should retrieve Morgan's crap from his Mom's apartment before she throws his stuff away. She's a big enough cunt that she'd throw his stuff away just for something to do. She threw his microwave away because it was "broken" and he wouldn't drive an hour up there to reset the fucking thing. Dumb bitch.

I so want to ram my feet up SBC's collective asses. Don't even get me started on an SBC rant or I won't be able to stop.

Morgan and I saw this lovely person yesterday, while driving down Cleveland AVE. For some reason, we found him to be quite amusing. I think the beard hanging out from under his helmet was the cincher.
One
Two
Easily amused, we are.

If I'm not too lazy later on this weekend, I'll take photos of the apartment with furniture and crap. Amazing, I know.

That is all.

Watch, the Birdy will fucking die this weekend.

Yeah, I'm gone for for almost two weeks and this is all you get.

Videos and Photos

Some photos (OK, 2) from last night at The Chamber.
Morgan posing like a homo.
Scott and his HUGE camera.
Scott is Thorn on MySpace.

Now, some videos. RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS.
Kanan and a knife.
Peeing radiator.
Our new apartment.
The Kanan knife video is at Kanan and Barb's house, while Barb was upstairs getting ready to leave. I meandered upstairs, and you can hear Barb and I chattering in the background. The radiator video was yesterday as well. The Camaro's radiator has a crack on the side, so my brother Jeff gave us a radiator he thought was good. Obviously it wasn't. You can hear my Mom cackling in that video. Lastly, the video I took today of our new apartment after I signed the lease and PICKED UP THE KEYS. Wooooo!

Headache, plus I need to do laundry. Maybe I should pack too, or something.

That is all.

Always Something

OK, so the guy called today about the apartment in North Canton, and we got the place. The catch is, we need $575 Sunday at noon for the deposit and first month's rent. Total, after deducting the cell phone and living expenses (food, gas) for next week, Morgan and I have $200. I asked my Mom to borrow the rest and, of course, I can't borrow the money. Everyone knows where this is leading; a Kieth rant. He can not pay his bills, blow his money on who knows what, get his cars repoed and she'll bail him out hundreds, a couple times even thousands, at a time. He can have her go to a check cashing place, then not pay the loan and have it taken out of her checking account, then she "loans" him money again. He's paid her maybe $100 of the money he owes her, and I've paid a lot more than that back, yet I can't borrow $375 to get this apartment. Fabulous, yes?

Benefit for Metal Steve at the Chamber (Cleveland) tomorrow (Saturday) night. $3/person at the door for everyone over 21; $5 under 21. Me, Morgan, Kanan and Barb will be there after 11PM.

That is all.

News

The guy called today about the apartment in North Canton. He was trying to "process" my application, but I forgot to include my extension number at work. I called him back with HR's extension, so I should find out tomorrow about the apartment. If that one falls through, which I'm sure it will, I've found another apartment to look at. Grrrrrr, I hate moving.

I sense sleepy-time in my very, very near future.

Heather and I were nearly killed in the Arby's drive-thru this afternoon. Some old bitch in a Lincoln came this close - to backing into Heather's car. Nice, yes?

Jeans day at work tomorrow, wooooooo!

That is all.

It's Time

We find out today or tomorrow about the apartment in North Canton. It would certainly be nice to get that apartment since it's pretty close to work, really nice and in a great area. If we don't get that unit, at least they'll return the $100 deposit (at least they're supposed to return the deposit.)

Why am I blogging before 7AM?

Lets take a week and a half to refund my $3.20, shall we? Oh, but wait, you probably need a license to refund my money, just like you need a license to sell Primal Elements body whips and sugar scrubs, right? I can't wait to get my refund from that person, so I can then call her bluff and tell her she's full of shit. Like I wouldn't call the company directly to confirm her story.

Christ, not even 7AM and I'm all ready in a mood.

That is all.

Apartment

Some (camera phone) photos of the apartment we put a deposit on this evening:

It's a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment with dishwasher and central air. The carpet/floors/bathroom looks new, and the fridge is new. It's in North Canton, about 15 miles from work. We find out on Friday if we get the apartment for sure.

That is all.

What We Do

Some video clips of what Morgan and I do during the weekends. These videos were shot Friday night while we were out cruising with Z28 Jeff, on 480, 71 and Pearl RD (42) in the Cleveland area (Brooklyn, Middleburg Heights, Parma.)

A butterfly flew into my stereo antenna on the Firebird. This was the result. Cool photo, but I feel bad for the butterfly.

OK, bedtime for the Pooper.

That is all.

Look Who's Alive

Getting up at 6:30AM is killing me. It was easier last week, and I'm sure it'll be easier this week than it was the first week. Still, I don't enjoy getting up that early, and going to bed before midnight. The job itself is fine, but the hours are still icky.

On Saturday Morgan quit his job at Ganley. Fuck those dicks. He's getting a job with me at Summit, so it's not a big deal. Besides, my income will cover all the bills. Woo!

We've decided against the apartemnts in Tallmadge and Cuyahoga Falls. Morgan was freaked out by the $575/mo rent for the Tallmadge unit (it was really nice, though,) and the Falls apartment is cute (I saw it Thursday,) but for $440 a month I'd like a larger unit and central air (window unit A/C in the wall.) So, I found a 2 bedroom apartment in North Canton for $450 a month. It has central air, and it's on the first floor of the building. Morgan and I are going to look at the apartment after work tomorrow, and the landlord will let us pay the security deposit over two months, instead of coming up with $900 all at once. If things go well tomorrow when we look at the unit, we could be moving as early as this coming weekend! Woo!

I beat Morgan's ass today while go-karting. I rule.

That is all.

Is It Friday Yet?

Can we fast-forward to Friday and skip all of next week? Please? My new job is cool, but getting up at 6:45AM is most certainly NOT cool. I overslept yesterday and didn't get to work until 12:20. Nice, yes? I didn't get in trouble or anything, though, so that's good.

More photos of the house I want:
House 3
House 4
House 4 Creepy
I need to write a letter to the owner and see if he'd consider renting the house to us. That would rock.

Morgan and I went to Denny's last night for dinner. In the restaurant were three jackass kids making all kinds of noise and playing with their obviously new camera phones. After those fucks left, some drunk guy came in and was being all loud and obnoxious. When we finally finished dinner, I was standing outside on the sidewalk waiting for Morgan to finish paying the bill. I'm standing there, and some assfucks in a broken-down Tempo drove up on the sidewalk and almost ran over me. Nice night, yes?

Morgan and I should be moving out in the next two weeks. The plan is to find an apartment this coming weekend, pay the security deposit then move in the following weekend. Woo!

I found some really cool saltwater fish this evening, but I've heard saltwater fish are hard to care for. Does anyone out there have experience with saltwater tanks? If so, let me know what it's like.

That is all.

Too tired/busy to update right now. Getting up before 7AM is killing me.

That house I've been babbling about is empty. ; )

Shut It

Does anyone ever shut up? Didn't think so.

I have two more photos of that house I mentioned yesterday. A little better than yesterday's photo, but not much.
House
House Again
Don't forget, I was driving home while taking these photos.

I got three house of sleep again last night. Yay, me.

That is all.

*Edited immediately after post*
I just reviewed the photos and the one I posted yesterday looks identical to the first photo from today's post. I swear, those are two different photos!
