Dribble

Interesting tidbit before I forget. Barb and Kanan finally bought a TV. Should I say Kanan finally bought a TV; Barb's been nagging him for months and he finally made the plunge. Suffice to say, with the TV and DVD player combined, they spent the same as we paid for Morgan's new RS. For a TV and DVD player. Yeah, that's pretty fucking scary.

We're going to the laundromat; this'll be fun.

That is all.

Black Friday

Heh, yeah, I went shopping this morning (5AM) because I'm a moron. I was trying to score a Toshiba Satellite laptop for $200 at Circuit City, but to no avail.
Anyway, Circuit City was crazy fucking busy, and there was around 50 people in line for the $200 laptop. There were 15 guaranteed to each store, but I'm sure there wasn't more than 20 or so at the Canton store, so I gave up and proceeded to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart wasn't busy at all, and there were tons of associates everywhere. I then ventured to K-Mart where again there wasn't a huge crowd and I didn't have to stand in line for any time at all. All-in-all it was pretty uneventful, except for when I had to crawl in through Blackie's* hatch because his door locks were frozen. Yeah, that was fun.
(*Blackie is now the 91 RS V6's nickname.)

I got Morgan this for Christmas, and of course he's using it now. I'm so nice.

Oh, Morgan bought a car. Now you see why I need to give the cars nicknames. My Firebird is Truckbird, the black RS is Blackie and the new RS is the "new" car. The red one is a 91 RS with a V8, 88K original miles and it's a Texas car so there's no rust. It has some ricey stripes, but we're taking those off as soon as it gets warmer. Oh, and the stupid B&M Megashifter is getting yanked out too.

I should go to bed since I only got 2 hours of sleep last night, and I need to have my bloodwork done today, and I also need to get my new glasses. I should do laundry too at some point.

That is all.

Secret Santa 2005

It's time once again for ThinkBlank's Secret Santa exchange!

Secret Santa Project

Lame Duck

This is going to be a lame post, but it's better than no post at all I guess.

I took a photo of my hand. Why? Because my nails are all long and pretty, but I just broke the side of the pointer-fingernail so I'm going to cut all of them. Nothing looks more ghetto than one busted fingernail with all of the others long. Yes, they are my real nails and with the prenatal vitamins, they'll probably grow even faster than usual.

We're going to look at that Z28 tomorrow, and I hope to have my lens prescription filled as well.

Our Christmas tree is very, very sad.

That is all.

Gah

Woo, I broke into -7.00 on my eye prescription! -7.00 in one eye and -6.50 in the other. I so rule. I'm not sure if I'll get new frames or not; I have to check out the selection when I have my prescription filled.

I get to have all kinds of fun blood tests today. The ob/gyn is whoring me out to the lab. I'm being tested for every freaking STD I've ever heard of, including HIV and hepatitis B. I'm also being tested for about 20 other things, and they can test for cystic fibrosis too. Woo!
My prenatal vitamins contain stool softener. For some reason I'm not comforted by that knowledge; quite the contrary, actually.
Next ultrasound is December 13th at 6:15PM, and we should find out the sex!

Apparently I only need 4.5 hours of sleep a night? I was asleep by 11PM last night, and woke up at 3:30 this morning. This is after not sleeping at all Tuesday night (I tried, but couldn't sleep,) and running around like an idiot yesterday. If I could sleep 7 hours in a row, I'd not know how to handle myself.

I may buy a winter car, I'm not sure yet. It's an 87 VW Fox WAGON (2-door) with a manual tranny. The best part is, the car only has 88K miles! The fact that it's only $400 is good too. I'll have to drive it and contemplate the purchase prior to actually deciding one way or the other.

It's a whopping 24 degrees. Fucking snowed yesterday. Not enough to cover the ground, but enough that I saw it snowing, and I hate the snow.

I should try going to sleep or something.

That is all.

You Know What I Hate?

Other than the usual things, I hate the new Nokia commercials. I especially hate the one with the redneck guy singing The Dukes of Hazzard theme. What's up with him not looking at the camera, but instead looking at the ceiling? Are the lyrics on the ceiling? It's his "theme song," he claims. Um, no. It's a theme song from a washed-up TV show about rednecks. So, if you'd like to be a washed-up redneck, by all means, please have that fucking ringtone on your shitty Nokia cellphone.

Gah.

New Photo

New photo of me, taken yesterday. It's a camera phone image, but I've finally learned how to adjust the resolution settings on the camera, so it's not too bad.
Woo!

That is all.

16 Weeks

I'm 16 weeks pregnant! Actually I was 16 weeks yesterday, but you get the point. Four more weeks and we find out the sex. Or the little shit will be lying on his/her stomach and not flash us.

In other news, I'm finally starting to feel somewhat human again. I'm still coughing and all stuffed up, but I'm not nearly as tired today as I have been the past couple weeks. Once I get rid of this crud I'll actually feel pretty good. Until I start having heartburn every night, or worse, hemorrhoids. Seriously, if I wind up with the 'roids someone needs to give me large doses of something to knock me out until they go away. I can't even begin to imagine what that's like, and that's one joy of life I can live without ever experiencing for myself.

On that note, that is all.

New Appliance

OK, so a TV probably isn't considered to be an appliance, but still, it's new and glorious.
Glorious technology
The TV we were using is 21 years old; my parents purchased it in 1984. It technically still works, so we didn't throw it away, but it's not any fun to watch. I think digital cable gave the poor TV a heart attack.
Our new TV is a 27" RCA. We were going to get the flat screen version, but they weren't in stock, so we went with the regular version instead. Woo us. A new microwave and TV all within a month of each other. Now we need a new couch.

Morgan ripped off a goldfish fin, which required extensive goldfish surgery for reattachment. Poor goldfish.

The new Depeche Mode CD is pretty good.

I should clean the living room.

My face is full of boogers. I don't like boogers.

I have an appointment with my opthamologist (eye doctor) a week from tomorrow, and the baby doctor (Dr. Jag) isn't in the office until Monday. This would be the one time she takes two weeks vacation. Grrrrrrrrr.

I chose my health insurance plan today; I'm such a grownup now. I wanted to have the baby at Mercy Medical in Canton, but none of my doctors accepted the plan that includes Mercy, so Aultman Hospital it is. Due date is April 27; I expect flowers.

That is all.

Gah

I'm still sick, but I do seem to be recovering from this crud. The antibiotics must be working because I'm coughing up a rainbow assortment of stuff.

I have training for my election day job at 2:30 this afternoon. It was supposed to be Thursday evening, but was changed at the last minute. That turned out to be a good thing, though, since I was sick anyway.

I suppose I should get in the shower.

That is all.

The Hell Was That?

Yeah, I'm sick so I'm coughing up all kinds of interesting things. I went to the doctor yesterday and I guess I have bronchitis. I'm on an antibiotic and Robitussin for the cough. It's been in the 60's here the last couple days, and I've been too sick to enjoy the weather. Ack.

I was debating whether I should post this or not, but since my Mom's told everyone she knows, I suppose I will. I'll be 4 months pregnant on Tuesday. Yeah, you read that correctly. Me, pregnant. Of course it's Morgan's!!!! I'll find out next month if it's a boy or a girl. I had my first ultrasound on Wednesday, and I saw two hands with 5 fingers each, and two legs kicking the shit out of my mommy area. That's going to hurt like hell in a month or so. Something to look forward to, I guess. LOL The heartbeat on Wednesday was 146, and it was 156 yesterday, but the nurse told me both are fine, and I don't need to worry.

I've managed to trip over the air and fall coming out of the apartment building (last night.) I fucking rule.

I'm also craving Sprite and Popscicles. Mmmmmmmmm.

Our TV is dying the slow death of antique electronics items.

I think that's enough news for one day.

That is all.
